Using Hornady #3706 Spire Point and crimping on cannelure. Great round for using your safari rifle for North American or smaller plains game. Moderate recoil. Shoots 1 MOA higher than 270gr from my CZ550 Safari.

This load consistently groups under 1" out of an old original Browning Safari, and has been a 1 shot killer on everything hunted! Velocity unknown, but reaches out very well.

Load is very accurate. Bullet is a 260gr Acubond. I use no crimp.Shoots under .500 at 100 yards and 1.250 at 200 yards. Rifle is a REM 700 XCR.

Nice comfortable load. Chronograph average: 2141 fps. 56 deg (F).Energy #: 2,826 lb. Very accurate out to 200 yards. Bullets weigh with gas checks: 278 grains. Made by Montana Bullet Works. Standard deviation 36fps so may not be optimal powder but it didn’t seem to affect accuracy.

Not certain of the velocity, but this load is nicely suited for varmints (due to the frangibility of the Sierra bullet, which seems to virtually explode on impact), and with most of the 270 to 300 gr. bullets I have tried this primer/brass/powder combination seems to group a consistent 3/4" to 1" at 100 yds in each of two Ruger #1s I have used it in.
